Using Photoshop or GIMP, I added four straight lines around the image, forming a rectangle. I selected a line weight of 6. Thereafter, I rotated the canvas by 3 degrees or so counterclockwise. I was careful to use a different layer for the rotation. On this new layer, I added colour and texture (using the Texture filter).
